Thanks for the scriptures. While I agree with your call to live a life pleasing to God, I tend to put my emphasis on the Christ part. It's not like there's Christ with the ticket into heaven that I take but then refuse to do anything and desire to do nothing. No - it's His great love for me that drew me to Him. It's the Jesus of the gospels who constantly draws me to desire to get to spend time with Him...Who, when in His presence, I recognize the depths of my depravity...Who, as I read about Him in the Word, a new vision of how life can be lived calls out to me...
